Stories of Our Land is a vibrant, educational children’s book series that brings South African history to life through adventure, imagination, and heart. Each book follows the journey of Aiden, a curious young boy who explores the rich past of our land with his loyal dog, Buddy, by his side. Along the way, Aiden meets real-life heroes, visits legendary places, and discovers the cultures, events, and people who made South Africa what it is today.
Through vivid Pixar-style illustrations, engaging storytelling, and local languages, these books aim to spark curiosity and a love for learning in young readers aged 3 – 9.
We turn complex historical events into exciting adventures that children can understand and enjoy.
Our stories celebrate South Africa’s diverse cultures, historical figures, and landscapes, told through local voices and perspectives.
Each book includes fun facts, isiZulu (and other local language) words, and hidden learning moments – perfect for classrooms, story time, or bedtime.
Every page is brought to life with bright, lifelike 3D illustrations that help children visualise the people, animals, and places they meet in the story.
Why I created these Books
As a South African dad, I wanted to create something timeless for my son Aiden – and for children everywhere – to help them grow up proud of our land, our people, and our history.
These books are more than just stories. They’re a legacy, a celebration and an invitation to all children to discover the richness of South Africa’s past through eyes full of wonder.
